There is no way evolution could be true,
Especially when I am thinking of you,
You are the result of DNA and genes,
That only God could think of in his dreams,
For your eyes are so beautiful and sincere,
That into them forever I could peer,
Your nose with a perfect shape and a gentle slope,
If only I could nuzzle with it one day I hope,  
Your lips so tender and soft,
That a mere touch of them could send me aloft,
Your hair with such vivid color and bouncy curls,
This trait alone dominates all other girls,
With a face that can only be described as from the heavens above,
It is no wonder that I am smitten by you my love
When all reality would seem to be a facade,
I look at you and know there is a God

You see everything in creation that reflects light,
Is from your perfect beauty that shines so bright,
For you my gorgeous angel my love,
seem to be from the heavens above,
And with every word you utter and say,
Continues to steal my heart away
The universe can sense this feeling is true,
That I am undeniably in love with you

Must stick to the list....
The supermarket is open,
there are many sales going on now,
but whatever is seen must be turned away,
since the list must be stuck to.
So many things are sweet and savory,
so many items are so drawing,
Must stick to the list...
there is candy in mass quantities,
fruit that is ripe for the picking,
vegetables that are pure and refreshing,
cookies and brownies that are such a treat!
Must stick to the list...
There is ice cream!
there are chips and dip,
tacos and burgers,
steak, chicken, and shrimp,
The bakery is full of cakes,
Apple, Pumpkin, and Cherry pies,
Must stick to the list!
But behold.... there is only one item on this list....
"Vitamin C"?

I have a Diamond.
I had others.
When I put them down they rolled away,
Jailed now for holding another,
Precious gems surround the outside of my cell,
Saphires, Rubies, Emeralds,
Tanzanites, Pearls.
Some are easy to reach,
others need a stick to get at.
They are all special to me.
when I get a chance, I reach for them,
I shine and care for them,
even some rocks and pebbles,
but at the risk of dropping my Diamond,
at the risk of scratching or chipping it.
They cannot remain in my cell.
Each time I put them back in their place,
they roll away a little more.
Harder and harder to reach they are.
Some are no longer reachable.
I see a Diamond!
I reach for it even with the stick,
I was able to bring it within reach,
able to bring it into an impassable crack in the ground.
My longest finger could touch it,
but the more I reached for it,
the more I risked all,
until I reached with the wrong result.
I pushed the Diamond out of the crack.
The Diamond rolled away...

Why...

...would one turn away kindness or friendship?

...do good people have it the worst while the wicked and dishonest continue to prosper?

...would your closest friend silence your freedom of expression even if it was not bothersome or wrong?

...would a family member introduce something into your life that could send you over the edge?

...does the world continue to have partiality?

...does life make you lose touch with loved ones?

...would the ones you love the most belittle that which is most important to you?

...deny that which makes you...you?

...do people leave God?
